JML SIPs, JML Garden Rooms, JML Contracts and JML Gabions make up the JML group of companies. The four businesses whilst operating in slightly different markets and with different customers, all ensure a high quality service and project delivery with the same values and goals.
The JML Story
Founded by husband-and-wife team, John and Katie Langley, JML is more than just a business it’s a shared dream, shaped by family values, hard work and a belief for success.
John developed a passion for the construction industry from learning the ropes in his father’s business and studying Construction Management at Heriot- Watt University. He had a vision to build a business that was sustainable, forward thinking and run by talented and dedicated people, with the same passion and core values.
Katie’s background is in marketing, bringing creative thinking and problem-solving skills along with a strong work ethic from growing up on the family farm, with the same vision for success and shared core values.
Starting the business was not easy with many long days and late nights at the outset. Now nearly 20 years later the company is thriving and has grown to support 60 employees over 4 divisions – JML SIPs, JML Garden Rooms, JML Contracts and JML Gabions. The business has stayed to true to its values, created opportunities for others and shown testament to what’s possible when hard work, ambition and drive come together.
With big plans for the future, John and Katie want to create an inspiring local workspace to bring together like-minded, interconnected businesses, all sharing a creative and collaborative environment.

We offer a full design and build package, managing your project from initial concept design and planning stages, right through to completion. We also offer advanced 3D visualisations and walkthroughs to help visualise your design.
We have built an excellent reputation in the industry for our outstanding customer service, with our team of architects and engineers working with you to ensure your requirements are delivered to exceed your expectations. Our flexible approach means we are also happy to design and manufacture the SIP kit to suit your own architect’s drawings.
All components are manufactured to exacting standards using only the finest quality materials, normally including the supply and fitting of windows to suit your specification. We operate throughout the UK, providing a highly skilled and rapid kit erection service. We also offer a unique full groundworks and sub-structure package (subject to location), through our sister company JML Contracts, enabling the whole process to remain in-house. If you prefer, we can package and deliver the same high quality SIP kit to your site, ready for your own team to erect.
